"Where there is true charity, God is present"...This ministry is an outreach to the impoverished and orphaned children of Kenya. We exist to show them God's love by providing food, clothing, shelter and education. We do this in a hands-on capacity by working on-site at the orphanages. Thanks for visiting our website to see how you can help.

Saved By God's Grace July 2008 Activity Update
My friends, it is getting close!
We only have 6 days until our fundraiser, "Experience Kenya", takes place in Phoenix, AZ. We only have 11 days left on the matching funds program implemented by a generous donor. We only have 12 days until we start packing the approximate 1 ton of supplies we will be taking to the children in Kenya. We only have 23 days before we leave for our stay in Kenya (we will be there just short of three months). TIME SEEMS TO BE MOVING QUICKLY!
With that in mind I have a few requests and points of interest:
First, if you are in the Phoenix area and wish to attend the fundraiser on July 26, please go to the website for more information and tickets. It is stacking up to be a wonderful evening. We will have authentic Kenyan food, African entertainment, a great silent auction and Magie Kigen, Director of Eldama Ravine Children's Village in Kenya, will be there to speak and answer questions.
Second, we have obtained about $7,000 toward our matching funds program. We have another $8,000 waiting to be doubled by our donor. If you have made a pledge toward this THANK YOU SO MUCH. If you haven't, please prayerfully consider your involvement. Remember, anything you give will be doubled. These funds will be going with us to Kenya and will be used to continue stabilizing the three orphanages that have been brought to this ministry.
Third, we must receive any items that will be going with us on the plane by July 31. At that time we will begin to organize the packing to maximize the space allotted in each case being taken (we are restricted to 70 lbs/case). Please also remember we need $150/case for shipping as required by NW Airlines. We anticipate the shipping cost for the amount of supplies going will be at least $3,000. Please pray on this to see if you are moved to help.
Last (but most important), I would ask that you begin to earnestly pray for this trip. While there is money to be raised and packing to do, we need to continually bring our prayers to our Father that the Holy Spirit be the guiding force behind what we do; that we never forget all of this should always point to the Creator of the Universe; that through these measures the children we love in Kenya will come to see they are loved beyond comprehension by our Lord and Savior, Jesus, and come to Him for salvation.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. Thank you also for all the time, effort and financial support you have given this ministry. God told us when He called us to serve the children of Kenya that we must simply be faithful to tell people about what He called us to do...He would bring those He chose to help. He has done so and will continue to do so Mungu akipenda (as He wills).
I will update you in early August (before we leave) on the results of all the flurry of activity that will be taking place over the next two weeks.
Mungu akubariki (God bless you) and Asante sana (Thank you very much).
Serving the children of Kenya with you only through the grace of God,
