My Dear Friends,

I know I have recently written you, but I had to let you know how much I appreciate the fact God continues to provide abundantly through you for the sake of His children in Kenya.  The July matching funds program has ended and the full $20,000 amount has been met.  You cannot imagine how this strengthens and encourages Tammy and me.  It show us God continues to be faithful to what He told us which is to simply continue bringing the children's needs to His people and He will move those He has ordained to help.  It also shows us that many of you have listened and responded to His call.  You are being used by God to allow us to bring His love, through His providence, to His children in Kenya.  Thank you so very much.

We start packing this Saturday (please make sure we have any items to be taken to Kenya immediately) and leave August 12 at 2:30 in the morning for the airport.  We have a lot to do between now and then, but we love each and every moment God is allowing us to serve Him in this ministry which you continue to be such a mighty part.

I also want to thank you sponsors for writing to your child.  The response has been amazing.  The children are literally dancing when they receive your letters.  I truly hope that you will have an opportunity some day to greet your child and see what your participation in their lives has done.

I believe the next time I write it will be from Kenya, Mungu akipenda (God willing).  Tammy is starting to "blog" again and we will attempt to keep the blog up to date as much as possible.  Make sure you check the website every few days as she is usually pretty good at putting items on the blog when we have internet connection.  Look for pictures of our companion and brother in Christ, Robert Cook, who will be accompanying us for the first two weeks of our trip.  He is the first person outside of Tammy and me who will be traveling to Kenya as a member of the Saved by God's Grace team.  Please pray for him, as well as us, as we begin another journey to show God's love to the watoto (children) of Kenya...May God's will be done!
