"Where there is true charity, God is present"...This ministry is an outreach to the impoverished and orphaned children of Kenya.  We exist to show them God's love by providing food, clothing, shelter and education.  We do this in a hands-on capacity by working on-site at the orphanages.  Thanks for visiting our website to see how you can help.

Dear Friends and Partners,

What an awesome God we serve.  I am not going to preach, but this ministry was established through Him and continues only through His grace.  It seems when I am at the end of my rope, He brings providence so the children He put in our path have food, shelter, water, and go to school.  Where this is leading is I want you to know Tammy and I have committed our lives to serving Him as He continues to call us to serve the kids in Kenya and we will continue to do so until He leads otherwise.  We continue to seek His guidance on how to move forward and we are at a point we need to ask for immediate assistance which will affirm to us the direction He wants us to go.  Yesterday we had enough funds in the check book to purchase tickets to return to Kenya in June...now we do not.  The reason is we were called upon by our brother and sister in Kenya to supply food that had run out along with other necessities.  While we know we are called to be on-site to physically show God's love to the children (and adults), we also know we must continue to meet the physical needs of the children so they know God is God and He will continue to provide for their needs miraculously through His people across the ocean.  We cannot erroneously believe it is our physical presence that is more important than making sure they have food...the presence they need is the Holy Spirit.  That said, we know that we are called to both live out the Gospel in their midst and ensure their basic necessities are being met....that calls for committment on our part and on the part of those the Lord has convicted to assist us in this ministry.

As you can tell from the above, funds are very tight at this moment. Since the inception of the ministry, God has told us to simply tell others about the plight of the children and the mission He brought to us and He would move His people to help through His grace...that is what I am doing.  As I have mentioned before, Tammy and I take no salary from the ministry and "tent make" (reference to the Apostle Paul) to meet our personal needs (we perform accounting work for friends as we devote our "full time" to the ministry).  We gave everything away other than our house and car to serve as He calls.  This has been going on for the past two years and God has been faithful to meet both the needs of the ministry through His people and our needs through friends that He has us do accounting work for.  I tell you this not for any other reason than to let you know we truly rely on God's providence in doing what He has called us to do.  If He does not bring providence through His people, we must simply wait and be faithful...our strength will rise as we wait upon Him, even though our hearts break because of the suffering the children are going through. He is sovereign!

We now ask you to pray about how you can contribute.  What can you sacrificially give over the next month to assist the ministry in providing for the children and sending us back to Kenya, ensuring the children continue to see the goodness of the One we serve and continue to eat because of your generosity?  We know times remain difficult for our friends in the US.  We also know what we are experiencing here, while definitely requiring adjustment of our lifestyles, is nowhere near the poverty we see in Kenya and many of the countries in Africa.  Tammy and I live in poverty according to the US statistics, but we don't even come close to living like our brothers and sisters and their children in Kenya.  We have the comfort of knowing we can reach out to others and they will, through the hand of God, provide if we are in dire need...that is not the case in Kenya where your neighbor is in the same situation as you are, the government has no programs to help and even the church has no funds to give.  It is truly difficult, if not impossible, to describe the extent of the severity of the situation to you, but it goes well beyond what we are experiencing here in the US.

Let us be the answers to our own prayers.  Friends, our Lord uses us to meet the needs of others.  Jesus told us to pray "give us this day our daily bread".  When we have our daily needs met we are called to be used to provide for our brothers and sisters.  We are to be the answers to their prayers to our Father to bring them their daily bread.  The children we are called to serve literally wonder if they will have "daily bread".  Please work with us so they see the Gospel in action and give glory to God as their needs are met.  Please prayerfully consider this and see where God leads. If led, you can donate through the ministry website by clicking HERE or sending your donation to "Saved By God's Grace, 4410 W. Union Hills Drive, Suite 7, Glendale, AZ  85308".

As always, thank you!  Please contact us if you have any insight into anything relative to this ministry.  We look forward to serving with you however the Lord calls.  If the Lord wills, we will wait to return to Kenya as we serve the children from this side of the ocean by continuing to tell others about them.  While we believe we are supposed to be with them in Kenya, it is all about Him and what He calls each of us to do as we live out the Gospel message.  May God bless you with a continued relationship with Him which was purchased at a price through the loving sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

Serving the children of Kenya with you only through His grace and His grace alone,
