"Where there is true charity, God is present"...This ministry is an outreach to the impoverished and orphaned children of Kenya.  We exist to show them God's love by providing food, clothing, shelter and education.  We do this in a hands-on capacity by working on-site at the orphanages.  Thanks for visiting our website to see how you can help.

Dear Friends and Partners,

Thanksgiving...approaching Jesus with the right attitude "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."  The Apostle Paul says (in Philippians 4:6) that we are to present everything to God with thanksgiving...do we do that?  We do present our petitions to God (our needs, wants, desires), but is our attitude one of thanks while we are doing that?  We must remember, even in the most dire circumstances, when we lift our prayers to the Almighty we must approach Him with a thankful heart.  You may ask "How can I be thankful that I just found out I have cancer?"  Situations like that are difficult, but if our Lord is the Lord of all things, simply being able to put our petition before Him is something we should be thankful about because He will take care of us no matter what the outcome.  And while this may be difficult to comprehend and put into practice, we must be thankful in all of our situations since that is the environment that we are called to commune with our Father...for our good and His glory.  The next time difficulties arise and you are on your knees before Him, thank Him first for simply being able, by His grace, to approach Him with your petition and see the difference it makes in your attitude toward Him and the situation.

Believe me, I am thankful for you!  While God has called Tammy and me to present the Gospel of Jesus to our brothers, sisters and their children in Kenya, we would not be able to do it if it were not for those of you who respond to the call and contribute to this ministry.  Your monthly and one-time contributions allow us to keep the kids fed and will provide for us as we move to Kenya this May.  Taking the Gospel to our children in Kenya requires funding on a daily basis.  We have been blessed to need only $3,000 more this year to enable us to keep the kids fed until the harvest in late January (yes the rains did come and allowed the crops to germinate...thank you Lord).  If you can assist us in this endeavor we will have partnered to make it over the hump and prevent any of our children God has put in front of us to go without food.  Again, thank you so much.

Our physical move to Kenya is coming soon.  We will be leaving the end of December to go once more across the country to gain more supporters for what the Lord has called us to do in Kenya.  We are not concerned that we believe many more monthly supporters are needed because what we believe is not the point...it is what God knows we need and will provide.  We have our plans, but God's are much bigger than ours.  While we would appreciate being fully funded, we would rather live each day in His will struggling financially than the rest of our lives outside of His will with adequate funding.  We know He will move hearts to accomplish what He wants accomplished and we live in the comfort of that knowledge.  We will simply remain faithful and diligent to tell as many people as we can about the needs of the children in Kenya and look to Him to move hearts to partner with us.  We would request that you continue to tell people about the website at www.SavedByGodsGrace.org where you can support the ministry and Tammy and I personally with your donations as we move to Kenya, and our campaign site built to allow you to use your "spare change" for change for our Kenyan children at www.TheChangeCampaign.org.

Please remember Tammy's blog which can be accessed from the website which will keep you updated about what is going on as we continue to prepare to leave in May and show you what daily life in Kenya is all about when we are there on the ground.  You can also follow her on Facebook and Twitter which you can link to from her blog.

Remember, seek God in thanksgiving and draw closer to Him each day...thanks be to Him for you in our lives and in the lives of our children in Kenya.

Serving the children of Kenya with you only through His grace,
