We exist to show them God's love by providing food, clothing, shelter and education. We do this in a hands-on capacity by working on-site at the orphanages. Saved By God's Grace January 2010 Newsletter
Prayer is needed as Gideon Musembi Malinda, our director of Nice View Academy/Orphanage, is going into surgery today (Tuesday). While every hospital trip in Kenya (when it can be afforded) is an event, surgery is always dangerous. Gideon is, and has been, our faithful and Christ-like brother. God has blessed us with him and his wife Pauline and we will live on his compound when we move to Kenya. While we only ask God's will be done, we know we can lift Him up to the Almighty for mercy and healing in this situation and the Lord will hear our prayers. We look forward to serving with him for the glory of God and the good of the watoto (children) as long as the Lord allows.
The countdown is on for the move to Kenya. It is official, our tickets are purchased to make the move to Kenya on May 4. There continues to be many things to do, but the most important is that we continue to tell others about what God has called us to do to see if the Holy Spirit moves them to join us in this endeavor as we prepare to leave. There are costs involved including $3,000 for the cost of transporting goods, $5,000 to build our home in Kenya, $1,000 to allow Tammy and me to get medical and dental check-ups before we leave, etc...If God directs, we could use your help. I don't even want to begin to present the many thoughts which are floating in our minds daily because it would seem overwhelming at best, but we do know that we are going forward to present the Gospel and begin a church on the grounds of Nice View Academy/Orphanage for the glory of God and the good of His people. We are looking for individuals and a US church to partner with us not only for funding, but also for wisdom, accountability and daily prayer. Tammy and I are in prayer each day that we move only as the Lord wills and it is clear to me we need a church partner in this endeavor....God will provide.

We will be back in Phoenix within the next two weeks and then the countdown continues as we begin to focus on preparing to move with the remaining 3 months we will have here in the USA. What a privilege it is to work on your behalf for the good of the children of Kenya by bringing the hope of Jesus to them. We have been given His grace to be obedient to this call and blessed to have Him bring you to partner with us.
