Are we ready?...probably not, but we are going anyway...the Lord will lead!  We are just hours away from moving to Kenya.  The last three weeks have been crazy, amazing and simply God-filled.  Emotions are running high with the kids, but God, the giver of all comfort, is allowing us to find contentment and joy in these final hours.  He has brought us this far and He will be faithful to complete what He wants done...His grace will be sufficient!  Please pray for us that we find His strength and we are faithful to what He has called us to do.  Please also pray for our children here in the States.  While we have been called to our little ones in Kenya, that means leaving our kids whom the Lord has physically blessed us with.  He has been so gracious as they love Him and have grown to be independent young adults, but leaving them is very hard on both them and us.  Thank you for lifting these things up in prayer.

Be encouraged to seek the Lord's will for your life as you build your relationship with Him.  Four years ago neither Tammy nor I would have thought we would be leaving everything behind in our birth-country and moving to Kenya to present the Gospel to our Kenyan brothers, sisters and their children...that is what makes it so fantastic...He did it all.  God is calling all of us to an amazing relationship with Him which will result in an amazing life.  I believe we settle for less relative to our relationship with God, but at the same time we strive to find contentment and satisfaction in the things of this world which we never can seem to find.  The issue is we start with what we believe will satisfy us and go from there, not seeking what the God of the Universe would have us do...it remains an empty unfulfilled life without Christ.  Seek Him first and then watch the void you feel deep inside be filled with an amazing joy no matter what the situation.  He will call you to a life you could never imagine, even in the darkest hours...give Him a chance...we try everything else to find contentment and joy, but we continue to miss the boat.

As of today we will be out of communication for a while.  Once we are in the air, we will not be in communication until we land in Nairobi.  Once there we will have Kenyan phone numbers, but it could take up to 2 weeks to get internet hooked up.  I will send out a quick newsletter when we are back up and running and Tammy will have blog posts and, of course, face book updates.  Once we get into a routine we hope to have daily posts so we can keep you informed of what is happening on the ground in Kenya with those God has brought us to serve and the ministry you are participating in.  Our emails will remain the same as well as the website address.  We would love to hear from you.

We continually want to let you know your support is needed and appreciated.  Without you we would still be in Kenya serving as the Lord has called, but it would be so difficult to serve and minister without the providence to do so...Thank you so much for participating in this ministry with us.  Look to here from us within two weeks with insight on getting settled in our home in Kenya and begin to experience with us the glory of God in the village of Tala.
