"Where there is true charity, God is present"...This ministry is an outreach to the impoverished and orphaned children of Kenya.  We exist to show them God's love by providing food, clothing, shelter and education.  We do this in a hands-on capacity by working on-site at the orphanages.  Thanks for visiting our website to see how you can help.

CRISIS IN KENYA

My Friends,

Below is a portion of an e-mail I received from Gideon Malinda, the director of Nice View Junior Academy (the orphanage we support in Tala, Kenya).  The violence that is occurring in Kenya is affecting the children and single mothers in a horrid way (over 500 dead and over 250,000 displaced).  As you can see he mentions being overwhelmed by what is occurring.  While the violence is not physically in Tala, they are being affected by this tragedy.  70 additional children were literally dropped off without explanation at the Academy last week.  Gideon is attempting to place them somewhere to keep them safe and provide them with food, but his resources are limited due to the new building not being completed yet.  He told me he thanks God that Saved By God's Grace was able to provide funds for excess food which he procured and stored when it was available last week.  I personally thank you for listening to God's call so we could provide this gift of food.

From Gideon:

As i told you the needy children we are getting are quit many and the number is so overwhelming that i am challenged of where to put them...... I have to pend some from reporting untill we complete the classrooms under construction. This week we got a total of  70  needy children  and next week we expect some more already accepted in yhe academy...

The situation is this.  We are asking you to consider a one-time donation to the ministry to keep Mr. Joseph Mutuku, the Nairobi engineer, working on the building.  He has used the resources we have sent him along with his personal funds to bring the construction of the building to what you see below.  He is working on the slab for the second story floor, but his resources are now depleted.  We need to continue the work on the building to make room for these children...we do not expect a quick fix to this problem in Kenya.

Building Under Construction

As always, please pray on this to see if God places it on your heart to help.  He is the one to whom ultimately this plea reaches.  He will convict you if you are to help...please listen to that calling.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration of this important matter.  If you should want additional information, please contact me at cmcdonald@SavedByGodsGrace.org.

As always, we move In His grace and His grace alone,
