Hello Friends and Partners of Saved By God's Grace,

We are less than two weeks away from our departure to the orphanage in Tala, Kenya.  I thought I would give you some insight on what is happening:

Commissioning - We have been blessed by Desert Breeze Community Church in Phoenix, Arizona to be commissioned as missionaries to Kenya.  What a tremendous honor to know that the Church has officially recognized this ministry which God has called us to and will be supporting us as we make this journey.

Blog - Our blog is up and running on the website.  If you go to the website you can click on the top right tab of the main menu and it will take you to it.  If you wish, you can sign up on the blog site and you will be notified when new information is posted while we are in Kenya.  If you don't want to sign up, just come back as you remember and see what is happening.  Please use the "comment" section to let us know how you like the blog.

Bibles - An anonymous donor has begun a matching program to help us pay for the Bibles and their shipping to Kenya.  They will match all donations for the Bibles, dollar for dollar, up to $500.  Your donations to this cause will be doubled for the next two weeks.  Click here to make a donation.  Put "Bible donation" in the comments section of the form. 

Funding - We have depleted our funding for the time being.  The last of the funds will pay for the shipping of 18 boxes on British Airlines...we could use your help.  Please prayerfully consider giving to the ministry over the next two weeks.  We will be leaving no matter what the funding situation is...God has called and we are following.  Still, we rely on God's providence through His people to accomplish what has been set in front of us.  While we are in Tala we would like to continue to provide for the children at the orphanage, continue with the building of the structure to take in more children, fix the many issues that are present on site including the lack of beds and desks, and deal with the transportation issue concerning the broken down bus.  Any contributions you can make would be appreciated.  Please prayerfully consider this request.

Well, that is it for now.  We will be writing a March newsletter before we leave to let you know where we sit as we continue this incredible journey God has called us all to.  Remember, He has come into all of our lives to accomplish what He has willed for the children of Tala.  With your prayers and contributions you have been faithful to the call and have allowed us to be faithful to what He has called us to do.  May He bless you for your partnership with this ministry.

As John wrote "If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?  Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."
