"Where there is true charity, God is present"...This ministry is an outreach to the impoverished and orphaned children of Kenya. We exist to show them God's love by providing food, clothing, shelter and education. We do this in a hands-on capacity by working on-site at the orphanages. The Village started literally with one child who was dropped off at the home of the director of the Village, Magie Kigen. Her heart was moved by the child and she decided to start a nursery for the kids from the slums of Bondeni and Shauri Yako near Eldama Ravine. Within a matter of days she had over 200 poor children "migrate" into the Village. They had no funding to take care of that many children and the Village was instantly shut down due to the overwhelming need and the limited funds. They started over and asked the government of Kenya to grant them 3.5 acres of land so they could dedicate it to an orphanage. The government did so and they started over. They limited the children they let in to the funds they had which were not much. The orphanage consists of 27 children who live simply by the hand of God on a daily basis. Magie has asked for the assistance of Saved By God's Grace to fund the daily living expenses of the orphanage and assist in bringing back some of the 200 children who live on the streets of Eldama Ravine and in its slums.
