"Where there is true charity, God is present"...This ministry is an outreach to the impoverished and orphaned children of Kenya.  We exist to show them God's love by providing food, clothing, shelter and education.  We do this in a hands-on capacity by working on-site at the orphanages.  Thanks for visiting our website to see how you can help.

Eldama Ravine Children's Village - Eldama Ravine, Kenya

Eldama Ravine childrenThe Village started literally with one child who was dropped off at the home of the director of the Village, Magie Kigen.  Her heart was moved by the child and she decided to start a nursey for the kids from the slums of Bondeni and Shauri Yako near Eldama Ravine.  Within a matter of days she had over 200 poor children "migrate" into the Village.  They had no funding to take care of that many children and the Village was instantly shut down due to the overwhelming need and the limited funds.  They started over and asked the government of Kenya to grant them 3.5 acres of land so they could dedicate it to an orphanage.  The government did so and they started over.  They limited the children they let in to the funds they had which were not much.  The orphanage consists of 24 children who live simply by the hand of God on a daily basis.  Magie has asked for the assistance of Saved By God's Grace to fund the daily living expenses of the orphanage and assist in bringing back some of the 200 children who live on the streets of Eldama Ravine and in its slums.

You can help us to expand this most needed facility in the Rift Valley of Kenya.  Please consider donating to allow us to build more facilities and take in more children.  In addition, consider sponsoring a child who has  been taken in by the Village.  Click on the links below to begin a life-long relationship with a child at the Village, give a donation to assist us in bringing more children into this safe, loving environment or to "See the needs and Take Action".

This is an excerpt from an email sent to us by Francisca Cherutich, the manager of Eldama Ravine Children's Village:

"praise God this evening, we are fine and well kept of the Lord.  Thanks once more for your service to GOD.

I kindly want to share the joy i saw last evening when i reached home with the items i bought.  Surelly it was joy and jubillation

when the children received  school uniforms especially the sweaters.  Its a cold season as i had told you and they have been

going to school without them and since this was the prayers of their hearts it was a answered prayer i saw children shedding tears and surelly this touched my heart.  Some of the children had never put on sandals since they were born and even confessed that they had never dreamed of putting them on once in life time.  Some of the girls din't have petticorts and when we presented them with new once they went to their rooms, put them on and called me to see how beautifull they looked.  Surelly i felt in my heart that i should share this with you.  We held evening fellowship with the children and prayed together thanking God for bringing you into our lifes.  God bless mightly. Receive lots of salaams and love from the children they are looking forward to your coming."
