While we at Saved By God's Grace are called to be on-site in Kenya, your financial support is necessary. If any of the projects below move you, please follow up by making a donation...it is simple, quick and will change these children's lives forever.
Child Sponsors - Committed sponsors for the children at the Academy and Children's Village. Being a sponsor will change the child's life and yours forever. You get directly involved in a child's life. You write and begin a relationship with a Kenyan child. By sponsoring a child you not only allow the facilities to remain open and give these children a home, but you give something way more by showing them you care about them...that is priceless. Click on either of the "Sponsor Me" buttons to select a child and find out how easy it is to give a child hope.
Monthly Supporters - As with our own families, daily needs continue no matter what the situation. Without funds, children literally wait to see if they will eat tomorrow. They sit without hope or joy. By committing to a monthly gift, we can assure these children that help will come each month. We can committ to the dedicated individuals who oversee the orphanages that they will have the funds to buy the food, pay the bills, get clothing and medical attention. The children will continue to have a place to call home. Click on the "Donate Now" button to make a one-time or monthly donation.
Funds for shipping clothing, education supplies, Bibles, etc. - We are continually looking for and accepting donations of these items. From our previous trips we average 20 cases of donated items and the average cost of each package (50 lbs each) is $150/case. Click the "Donate Now" button to help offset the cost of shipping for our next trip to Kenya.
Education Supplies - Educational supplies are an on-going need. The children at Nice View Academy are now ranked 3rd out of 28 schools in their district (at the begining of 2008 they were ranked 27th). This is due in part from the availability of the needed text books, exercise books, etc. Click the "Donate Now" button to help supply these materials for the future of these children.
Literature Books - The children are starving for reading material. We are accepting donations for children's books. The ages range from pre-school to 8th grade. Either books or funds to purchase the books would be appreciated. Please remember for every 50 lbs of books it will cost approximately $150 to ship. Click the "Donate Now" button to help.
Used bus - We are still looking for a quality used bus for Nice View Academy. Along with Karen Motors in Nairobi we also have 2M (another auto company) helping us in the search. Click the "Donate Now" button to make a donation toward the bus. IN PROGRESS!
New structure at Nice View Academy - A three-story building is being constructed to support another 200 children at the Academy. The cost is only $104,000. We have paid $65,000 toward this amount and the first and second stories are completed. The final floor slab is finished and the last floor walls and preparation for the roof is going to cost approximately $18,000. As soon as we receive funds for this portion of the construction, the work will continue. If you have the ability to make a donation to this project simply click the "Donate Now" button. IN PROGRESS!
Expansion at Eldama Ravine Children's Village - Currently 24 children are living at the Village. We know there are at least 200 children in the area who live in the slums and on the streets...we want to take them off the streets and into this loving environment. The land has been donated by the Kenya government and we need funds to build. We are looking to raise $50,000 which we will use to begin to expand the facility to take in all 200 children. With your help these children will not wander the streets and wonder if they will eat tomorrow. They will know they are loved. Click the "Donate Now" button to begin this process with us.
Kitchen and wood store at Mercy Child Foundation - Donations have allowed us to purchase firewood to last the orphanage until February 2009 but they have no place to store it. The firewood is literally piled up outside the kitchen. The kitchen is an area outside the main building with tin sheets for walls and roof. It is approximately 10' x 20' with no ventilation. The plan is to build a stone kitchen with proper ventilation to accomodate feeding the 34 children. Click the "Donate Now" button to help us with these projects.
