Yesterday I was pretty excited about the installation of the water tank and stand.

Well as they say, and I do not like this excuse but it definitely does ring true, this is Kenya.

At 5:30 yesterday evening we received a call from the driver of the crane. He wanted money sent to him for petrol….on top of what we had already agreed to pay. Nothing really unusual about that, it seems to be the norm around here….this is Kenya. When we asked for the owners phone number the driver refused. That’s when we knew he was cheating the owner.

We ended the conversation and was left with no crane coming….this is Kenya.

Now we start over, looking for a crane.
